About Chiropractic

The Story of Chiropractic

The greatest discovery of any generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind. --- Albert Schweitzer

In 1895, Dr. D.D. Palmer of Davenport, Iowa had a wonderful new idea on how to make sick people well and keep the well from getting sick without drugs or surgery. Dr. Palmer's idea worked and is now known as an "adjustment". The goal of the chiropractic doctor is to turn on your own natural healing ability by correcting spinal nerve stress which is the deadliest, most destructive blockages of life and energy that we can suffer from. The chiropractor adjusts the spine to correct this nerve stress, not to treat the disease, thus releasing the bodies natural healing ability.

The Chiropractic Message
We are spending billions of dollars fighting disease in this country and precious little on discovering ways to regain and maintain health. Chiropractors do not fight disease, they help turn on your inner doctor. This is chiropractic's message to humanity: Our body is the best doctor and if we remove the interferences to our natural function we'll feel better, heal better and live longer. The human body has an inborn natural healing ability that needs to be reawakened and unleashed. Periodic chiropractic examinations and adjustments correct spinal nerve stress and unblock your hidden healing ability.

Chiropractic maintains the nervous system to be free from subluxations [spinal bones out of place thus causing nerve interference] allowing all the organs, glands and tissues in the body to function properly so you can be in a true state of health.
